Sonic Youth's self-titled debut 12" was recorded in late 1981 at Plaza Sound, located in Radio City Music Hall, NYC, and originally released on composer Glenn Branca's Neutral label. This remastered and expanded 2xLP reissue features the original EP, live recordings from 1981, and a rare track from an unreleased studio session—marking the only recorded appearance of the band’s early lineup with actor Richard Edson on drums. The release also includes liner notes from Edson, Branca, and music critic Byron Coley. Now available once again on vinyl.
